I would uninstall Drag N Drop, restart the machine, then move on to install Nero.

And a secondary hard disk? Do you want internal or external? External will require you to have either a...

In Device Manager, navigate to the Primary and Secondary hard drive contollers.

They should be set to "DMA if available" for both channels.

14 isn't bad, but I don't know if that would be enough for a class action suit. Good luck with it though, whatever happens, happens.

:)

Antec TruePower PSU with whatever case you want to...

You certainly filled out your ID 10 T forms correctly!

It's a Power Magic PSU, not Amamax. You need to contact Power Magic for your problem. Resellers usually offer a limited warranty for parts...

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to call you an idiot for posting that on their site.

You don't threaten legal action for a sound card and floppy drive that can be replaced for a total less than...

While we're giving positives to companies, I'll add that newegg.com and directron.com have never given me troubles, either with the parts I've ordered or the quality of service they've given me. :)

If you're going to upgrade again, I'd wait like you were initially going to do and build a nice AMD system this summer. But that's just me.

The 3.06HT would be sufficient yes, but it wouldn't be...

250 watt?

Yes, it's time to upgrade that too. With the new video card especially, you're drawing a lot of power from the PSU, and that's why you're having the freezing issues.

It only...

FINALLY! :D

Backup everything that you can/know of/want to, swap in the new motherboard, install XP.

It will support the 2.2 Celeron, but for the hard drive, you'll want to email Asrock and...

I'm going to break this down for you.

In an AGP based system, you're going to have a bus that has access directly to the memory and CPU, along with the PCI bus. The PCI bus has to travel through...

I'll keep saying this, but buy a new motherboard and an AGP video card.

For what it's worth, the FX5200 sucks. It's on par with a castrated Radeon 8500. Stick with ATi.

It's the onboard video.

Anything is a step up from onboard.

As in other threads, I would strongly suggest you build another system before dropping cash on a PCI video card. The "gains"...

I'd reset the CMOS.

Unplug system, short CMOS jumper, connect back, plug in power.

I don't think you can change the multiplier on a Pentium chip. Front side bus I know you can.

You can run any OS on a modern x86 system. 9x/NT based, doesn't matter.

I agree with the testing.

I remember yanking the AT connector and the ATX 2.03 12v 4-pin connecter out of my Antec. Useless connections.

Yes, I voided the hell out of that thing a few months back...

Not to discredit your post, but on all three systems that I've built for myself, and the 20+ for my company, I've screwed up multiple times with that and while the light may stay on, the system still...

My first box was an Acer. My sister owns one as well, for whatever reason.

I haven't really heard anything bad about the Travelmates, but you may want to price out a comparable system with HP or...

I agree.

I have a system that pops out the AGP card if shaken just the right way. Might want to make sure all of the expansion cards are fully seated in addition to the RAM.

If neither one...
