what cuases a mouse on a laptop to act eratically at times? its an ibm where the scroll is a little red ball in the center of the keyboard?

sorry, this is a 98 question, but a lot more people are in here then the windows 98 forum....i just installed windows 98, except the graphics are ****. i can barely make out the screen on windows...

if u could even check what graphics card u are using so i know what to download, that would be appreciated also!!

also, is it possible to change the colors...the most it lets me do is 16 colors...is that possible to change somehow?

here is EXACTLY what i am doing...
1) i put in 98 bootdisk(bootdisk.com) which takes me to the A: prompt. i also put delpart on the same disk
2) i run delpart - giving me the option to wipe...
