when u lose connection, did u turn both modem and router off and on again? first, try to turn off the router only. just to make sure what causing the problem.

could you tell me what to do with the router config? i mean, what do i have to adjust?

After u linked each computers with a cable to the router/switch. here's a few steps that u should do..


(1) GO TO>>My Computer>>My Network Places>>Set up a home or small office network>>>>

i suggest u upgrade ur router firmware..get it from the internet. After that, configure ur router. see how it'll response.

After i online for more than 1 hour without disconnection, i convince that my router is functioning well.

i'm curreuntly using 'PPP over Ethernet' in my router setup.
