Hello,

Are you able to use the partition manager in either of those Linux distro's?

How are your partitions laid out? e.g, 4 primary partitions or 3 primary 1 logical etc...

They don't make dreamweaver or photoshop for linux.

But you can use them using Wine (http://www.winehq.org/) or find an alternative.

I don't think there is any mate, I use an intermediate partition to transfer files both ways. You can have a partition of NTFS or FAT32 i think.

Can you verify the CD please.

Download ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com/). Install it.

Run it. Click on verify disk.

Then select the source CD.
Then select the image file to verify...

I have the previous version of ubuntu and all i had to do was put the cd in and it automatically booted without having to press any keys.

did you do verify the file you downloaded by checksum?

Can't you configure the grub manually. I know OpenSuse lets you configure the GRUB. If you install this "belinux" you may be able to reconfigure the grub and reformat the partition if it goes wrong....
