Yes but without the purchasing part. Some Websites, Companies, ect. Will allow an affiliatecy to suffice for advertising in a newsletter or magizine.

phpbb boards are what I use and work with. I don't really like invasion boards. I would love to work with a VB board but... ehh.. time doesn't permit it at the moment.

A lot of communities are trying to start live chats. It brings more intrest to it. But there are also things like News articles and RSS feeds that they don't just have to go around searching for.

If it's a small banner you're wanting... I would suggest you come up with a small catchy slongan or something... then find or build a design or background for the banner. Something that is relative...

yes phpbb does have this option you have to install a mod. but it'sverysimple to install and configure. you can find the mod simple sub-forums at phpbb.com
