Can you please run both AdAware (please update first) and Hijack This again and post BOTH result logs for me -- I want to work with fresh stuff after the above changes :)

Well, since that has been ruled out, lets go ahead and try to rule out Virus/Malware before we try anything else.

How are things going after reregistering?

First move Hijack This to a permanant folder on your computer (NOT the Desktop, Temp or Temporary Internet Files)

Close all browser windows, Rerun Hijack This and tick the following:

Run this GoHip Removal Utility: http://www.gohip.com/remove.exe


Reboot your computer into SafeMode (by hitting the F8 key upon restart and choose SAFE MODE).

With everything else closed, run...

Ok - first, Google toolbar does block pop-ups. You can get it here (http://toolbar.google.com/) if you choose that over the Avant Browser.

You can keep all those utilites,...

This is ONLY for troubleshooting purposes and NEVER left that way ;)

I don't even use either of the above for viewing graphics, but recommend them to others (mostly IfranView for resizing siggys)...

I too read logs, and see these things - you can too ask him if you like:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A5366673-E8CA-11D3-9CD9-0090271D075B} - (no file) "THIS IS FLASH GET" - it causes problems...

FIRST of all. Make sure of the simple stuff. Like that you don't have the "Show Pictures" disabled.

Goto "Tools" then "Internet options" click on "advanced" tab and look for "Multimedia" be sure...

Try this:

Go to START>>RUN and type in:

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance

... that will repair any problems with IE

Hmmm, a little lost on why he would be directed to DL SWShredder if unsure whether he has that issue first but at least that is ruled out thusfar ;)
