DMR, your link to WinsockXPfix didn't work, but I tracked it down on another site. I ran it (the error did not occur) and it completed. After the reboot, still no dice.

It is a problem for all browsers. I primarily use Mozilla but the problem exists with all three.

The two main sites I have no access to are: www.us.army.mil and www.gmail.com (both used for email). Many other sites will allow access to the initial page but won't connect after submitting login...

Since I have regained functionality of my AIM and IE, I have been getting a "connection refused" message when trying to load many sites. Any idea as to why this has started happening?

The IEFix did not stop the termination error message when trying to run the Trend scan with IE. Otherwise all else worked out. Here is the new log:

I think that the presence of the "Home Search Assistant", "Search Extender", & "Shopping Wizard" are causing my AIM to crash. I haven't noticed it causing problems anywhere else. Any ideas?
