Sorry, but i think the only thing you can do is reinstall windows vista, you'll need to buy a copy.

Yes that's correct.

All windows Vista versions are pretty much the same. Depending on the version depends has more or less features. Like with Windows Vista Business, all i know is that it doesn't have games.... so that...

Do you have a password on the wireless?
How far away are you from the wireless?
Are you setting the laptop to automatically gain an IP address?

If it has already been activated before it won't accept the key because it has already been used / being used.

As said above, give Microsoft a call and they will give you a new product key.

A repair possibly would work, but otherwise it would require a reinstall, i would do a reinstall just so nothing gets confused and crashes.

Well i might be able to solve your problem.

I to had Internet Explorer crashing, but on my XP machine...

I never use IE on my Vista machine, cause i use firefox, but IE on Vista has...

Vista is a slow system hog. XP is fast and doesn't use up resources like Vista does.

That is why it's slow, it's vista.
