My computer crashes daily. Sometimes more than once a day. Basically the screen freezes completely and there's just the sound of the cpu at 100%. Only way to get out of it is to reset the computer....

Hehe sorry but no it didn't work.
Only firewall I have is the Windows one.

However, I've downloaded msn messenger 6.2 and that seems to work ok. But anything newer and I can't sign in. Very odd.

Ever since I changed from dial up to broadband a few days ago MSN messenger 7.5 will not sign in.
Oddly Windows messenger will sign me in.
Does anyone know why this is and what I can do about it?...

That's what I did, I right-clicked on it and clicked properties and it says "Type of file: Movie Clip". I take it that it should say something else then?

Yeah afraid I've tried that.

I've done a Windows update, Windows media player update, uninstalled and reinstalled WMP, same with the codecs.

It's weird, it'll play "Windows Media Audio/Video"...

WTF?! I just went intp Device Manager and uninstalled both DVD rom and CDRW drives and "searched for new hardware"....... now if I go into "My Computer" I have:
CD Drive (D:)
CD-RW Drive (E:)...

My old CD-RW drive died last week so I've purchased another and installed it. The problem is that the drive letters have changed.
Before my CD-RW drive was (D:) and my DVD ROM drive was (E:)....

It's the account that was created when Windows XP was installed.
When I go in on safe mode and log on as Administrator I cannot see that account I need to delete.

Don't seem to be able to delete my old account. Maybe I should try going in on SAFE mode again, logging onto Administrator and then try deleting from there. Worth a try?
