ok here's the deal i got a copy of internet explore 7 beta, it installed...

i solved the problem,
somehow 'my current home page' got enabled in the customize desktop. i just unchecked the box and that seemed to solve the problem.

i tried to change my desktop wallpaper today and i keep getting this message: "internet explorer cannot find the active desktop html file. this file is needed for your active desktop. -to turn off...

since you already have spybot use the immunize feature to block bad stuff, switch into advance mode then go to start-up, from there you can block off programs from starting up - if your unsure what...
