just an update... i "popped the hood" and found one of the rams werent seated on the mboard all the way... i was hoping that cured me, but no go, im still freezing. good news is a friend has ram for...

in safe mode with networking it freezes same as in normal which would be sometimes during start up, sometimes running any prog, (sometimes because the moon is full?) but will not completely boot in...

java update successful, but still freezing up. i thought i had it nailed down to it only doing it when the cpu stays maxxed but it'll freeze idle. should i still lean towards a bad harddrive or ?
