Can anybody tell me if it's possible to write a program in VB that can read and edit the Master File Table of an NTFS system to restore a deleted file.... i know that it can be done in C And C++ but...

Just wondering if anybody here has any experience of writing programs in C or C++ to use and manipulate the Master File Table, to restore previously deleted files?.....
