hello i lost my optima recovery disc and was wonderign if i could install windows xp using just a nromal windows disc cause also my computer has no os

its not making any beeps no more but when i turn the pc on it says remove disk or any other media even though i dont have any disk inserted. also the harddrive doesnt work cause its not making any...

well i dont have the manual so i odnt know yet what my bios is but i unplugged everthing out of my computer and plugged everything back and it still making beeps constantly:(:(

ok well when i start my computer the cd drive works so does the floppy but the hardrive light flashes only once when it is turned on i dont have any op installed sinc i was trying to reinstalll...

well i got windows xp again but the computer doesn't boot from cd and when i do boot from floppy then it comes in reinstall screen butr the files don't copy but i manged to get upto the windows xp...

if his comps not starting in safe mode he connot start in others cause the problem happened to me aswell

i think i have boot disk on floffy but i cannot reinstall windows xpusing the boot disks cause the windows xp is scratched

because i never bought the disc from microsoft i got it with my optima computer and its a recovery disc not stand alone windows xp cd...

the Cd drive opens when u put the paper clip in the hole and it shuts when u press eject button but it won't open by the ejct button oh and it still has little pieces of the smashed disc inside still
