Try going to a folder (My documents for example) and clicking VIEW/FOLDER VIEW/VIEW and then tick "Show all files" (Thats what i have selected)

You can put something in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and it will clear those files before it gets to desktop........

wmp11 is over bloated garbage..... It is a big resource hog!

I think we are getting somewhere here....

I had him goto 1 of the abode keys and then click EDIT/PERMISSIONS (In regedit) and that key was set to 'READ ONLY' so i had him change it to READ/FULL...

Have you tried doing a SYSTEM RESTORE to when they all worked??

Sounds like something got corrupted and hopefully a restore will reset things.... (Then run a full scan (disk scan,VS,etc))
...
