Who is a regular poster ? If I dont post in a forum for a month ... but I have a thousand posts in the previous month, will I be a regular poster ??

I have set one week old threads to be displayed in the forums in my control panel. Before daniweb upgrade, there was a sort function at the end of each forum .. so whenever I had to go farther than...

The menu seems to work fine for me too if I use firefox 1.5 in windows XP..

In that old golden days when daniweb used to be all purple, there used to be a check box right beside the login & password fields named "Remember me?" ... now it only comes when I enter a wrong...

I think the post count in the poll it not close to reality ... cuz here in daniweb no one is averaging even 10 posts ...

I dont think that quantity of posts is of major concern ... its the quality that matters ... so when I find something worth I can help ... I do a post ... otherwise I keep quiet.

Games are a good way for new members to get familiar with other members and the site design. So I dont recommend deleting a game thread. Cant you archive the old posts of the thread ?

Now that you have 17 posts .. you can access your control panel and on the left menu you'll find edit signature on top.

If there is no where to post ... the ultimate posting place I find is the geek's lounge.

Yes the detailed list is not shown ... but what exactly will you want to do with the detailed list ??

I looked up signature in dictionary for signature and I got this :

A distinctive mark, characteristic, or sound indicating identity

So you can type in something that describes your character or...

You mean your hand written signature ?? scan it n attach a link in your sig .... but I dont think you're allowed to display an image in your signatures on daniweb.

I think each sub-forum displays active members at the bottom of the forum ... but I do think that there should be an active member list for the whole forum category too like in tech talk or coffee...

The long list of Read me threads in the viruses, spyware and other nasties looks disgusting ... I just have to scroll deep n deep to access the actual current threads. .... cant we just have a link...

And there's a button "Rate post" on the top right cornor of every post from where you can give rep points.

I dont have an email subscription ... that becomes a headache for me ... I just go to my control panel and see my updated subscribed threads. Will they end up like that ??

Is there a limit to subscribed threads or they can literally be infinite??

I agree with Dani ... but I would have liked to know the location of people I help or the people whome I am helped. And I can do it by seeing their profiles.

Nope !! I dont think so .. cuz when I reopened the browser I was still logged in .. I didnt have to write my username and password again ...... and then it submitted my reply.

Nope ... my ISP uses a proxy of canada .... so it'll not be a problem as such. And if it were ... then why did it keep me into the site for that long a time ??

And ofcourse the web doesnt have any...

This was the message given to me by my browser when I was replying to a thread in windows section ..... I just closed the browser and opened...

Both the pages have their own advantages and I think both have been designed nicely to fulfill the requirements.
