Yeah, I've heard that linux isn't quite "with it" when it comes to the wireless side of things.

It is just basic NAT though.

I assume you're using RRAS in Advanced Server to do this, right?

If the router's not handling the VPN session, then any would work fine as long as you opened the correct ports.

I would recommend a Cisco PIX 501.
