Recently I plugged my Western Digital external hdd into my computer and it will keep turning off and then the lights will come back on and it will spin for about 7 seconds and then do the same thing...

ok right now I have one flat panel in one dvi port and my tv in the s-video and it works great. The other dvi port is converted to vga so i can plug it into a projector but i don't know how to set up...

i think my problem was i overwrote the windows boot partition but i just ended up reinstalling xp and then reinstalling ubuntu and it worked out fine

thanks... no it doesn't get to the windows screen at all its just all black and with white letters saying 'Starting Up...' in the top left corner.. i'll go check out those other forums though.

well, i just got to college and had to install a bunch of stuff for their network like security updates and macafee virus protection like i have no clue what it could be... i was just hoping someone...

my windows xp crahses all the time very frequently and i have know idea why.. like 3 times every 45 mins

I just reinstalled Windows XP pro and i can't connect to the internet... the is a live cable plugged into the nic but the computer doesn't even have the LAN connection up in the network connection...

When ever i try to use Internet Explorer 6.0.29 i can't access any page it says that the page cannot be displayed, i think this may be something wrong with my internet connection or something because...
