It may just be a case of reinstalling the drivers for the sound card. Will move you on over to the 98 forum.

Right click IE & choose properties/privacy & set it to default.

You will need the latest version of HJT which is 1.97.7

These three need to go too. The 1st is from seekseek, the second is unidentified trojan & the third is spyware.

Close all (browser) windows & have HJT fix these entries=

Download CWShredder from http://209.133.47.200/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe & run it. Select the fix button & it will get rid of everything related to CoolWebSearch. Close ALL other programs...

You are welcome. I came across that answer myself several weeks ago.

Go into device manager & see if any of the hardware has a question mark next to it.
You might also want to try to uninstall the pci card, then reinstall it. Try to update the drivers on the net too.

If those who are having these problems have 'Spywareblaster' installed, there is an option to kill flash in tools. Make sure it isn't checked.

Go to www.pcpitstop.com & they will do a full system scan & tell you exactly what needs to be done.

I've already posted this once somewhere, but why don't you download & instal MYIE2? It runs on Internet Explorer's engine but is a lot more versatile. It can't hurt to try.

I use cacheman & would recommend it to all. It has quite a lot of good tweaks as well as recovering memory.

try setting your active x settings to accept unsigned as well.
