quick question
do you have an nvidia graphics card?

there was an issue with the latest drivers that messed up the gamma setting for overlays

easy fix

the marking as unread seems to be a bug in 6.5
not familiar much with older versions so not sure about the otehr issue

xp and 2k seem to have an odd problem with the preview
if you have a preview of things open it shows the picture or first frame of the video in the folder

this could be what’s keeping the file...

just went through that

can you try hitting the pause/break key when the blue screen flashes
most times it will stop until you press another key
could give you some time to jot down some info from the screen

can you list the last 3 files or so that it reads off
also did you grab the right version of the file when you placed it in?

does it let you start the comouter in VGA safe mode?
