Considering mods aren't ever bots, I think it'd be safe to write a quick script to let them do their job quickly. (It can't be that hard to write a check for the user's usergroup?)

I personally like the system. I also think it was well designed as far as the interface. The only thing I don't like is that it is going to discourage people from disagreeing (see: this thread)...
