hmmm., perhaps WMP missed some codecs
try to download the most universal audio codec - MPEG Layer-3 Codec

The difference is quality!...

PNG's look better, use transparency better but take more space.
Later versions of Internet Explorer have problems recognizing the PNG transparency but GIF...

Try SkypeCap (http://www.skypecap.com/). Userul tool. Records audio & video conversations. It's a pity but it costs. But to tell you the truth I don't know anything free & worth recorder.

Don't do this, not because of RAM Memory.
I used Vista a week & it have many probelms. Now I re-install XP & wait for the upgrade service pack.

And what's about the program called VidGIF (http://www.geovid.com/VidGIF/)? I've tried it recently and fully satisfied with it's quality.
