Start your system in safe mode (repeatedly press f8 on bootup). Run an antispyware program like spybot or adaware. Remove any problems. See if that helps

You could also purchase some more ram, I'm assuming this is an older machine? Pc-133 RAM is pretty cheap. Check out Ebay or something for it.

Microsoft Anti-spyware? Try ewido and update it. Do a google search for microsoft antispyware download if you really want to get it, otherwise download Ewido, I've heard some good things.
