Java and JavaScript are not the same thing. Java is product of Sun Microsystems where JavaScript is product of Netscape. Java is an programming language, JavaScript is obviously scripting language....

The above can be done through applet and no need for JavaScript. However if you insist on JavaScript solution of which I'm not sure can be done, then you are in wrong section (Java is not JavaScript)...

Testing it with localhost hmm...
Make sure that your scripting hasn't got absolute paths to your computer hard disk. If that doesn't solve problem then post your code and surely somebody will assist...
