Usually I design liquid layouts, but when doing fixed width, I always make them 780px wide or less, to account for scroll bars, etc.

No, I use Adobe Photoshop CS to do graphics, and Microsoft Development Environment to do coding/debugging. :P Notepad for making CSS.

Oh yeah, and if you're getting an imagehost, make sure they don't have a time expiration. Cuz some just give you ~3 weeks then put their own ad instead of your sig. It's really annoying.
