Since you've had so many errors with current Windows, I strongly suggest a full-format of your c:\ drive for a clean install of Windows system.

Some essential files of Windows have been replaced by malware. Try to restore Windows with a XP cd.

Does your PC work when you turn it on? Does it give some beeps if it fails to boot up?

What error message do you get when putting more than 200 songs?

Pull off all hard drives (if you have more than one), then try to boot up without hard drive and see what happens.

Power failure does no hurt to other hardware parts but hard drive. That's all.
So you have to make sure the hard drive is in good status and still readable.

Are you sure it is not a software issue?

1) try to start without hard drives, and look what will happen;
2) try to start without memory and look what will happen.

Memory might be loose. Pull off the memory and plug it back. restart again...
