you can set photo shop to use less ram when in use , open ps ,go to edit/preferences /memory and image cache,in the amount of ram ps uses [default 50%],click and drag it to about 25%, might help a...

it is 2x2.6 ,but not really a total of 5.2 as each core works independently of each other , also make sure you have more than 1 ram chip as each core will perform better with its own stick of ram,or...

nope ,fastest it takes is 1 gig x 4 ,ddr 400, also knows as pc3200.
it doesent support ddr2 ram acording the msi site.

according to this sites info you board only supports up to 333 ram , 333 translates to pc2700,so the pc3200 will only run at pc2700's speed , what does bios screen show if you install one of the 1...

looks like you old beast should run it just fine ,so to me that means just about any new core 2 duo cpu tower will run it like a bullet train . check requirements on site ....

your welcome .i think you have to be careful with the different voltage of newer faster cards , and x2,x4,x8 agp cards,some 8x cards aren't backward compatible ,been my experience anyway .

it may be under the keyboard ,but did you remove the ram chip ,sometime the other slot is under the top chip.
according to there web site there are two slots .check data sheet link on the right ...

yeah,looks like thats the case .and the rambus ram slots will not take any other type of ram .you have to have /buy RDRAM for it .i have bought some on e-Bay ,and they can be pricey ...
