I've had Norton for almost a year now and have never had anything get through it. Maybe I've just been lucky, but in my opinion Norton is a pretty good AV. :)

You are still running hijackthis from a temporary folder. Do as Crunchie said, and it should save to a permanent folder. It's important to do this, so it can make backups.:) Then someone will help...

You need to save hijackthis in a permanent folder....you are running it from a temp folder, and it can't make backups in case you need them. :) So you might want to do that while you are waiting on...
