Do you have any other browser? check if the secure sites open in the other browser...

Well you can always delete history manually by going here:

X:\Documents and Settings\mis\Local Settings\History

where X is your system drive .. and ofcourse I'm talking about windows XP.

Open IE and click Help, About Internet Explorer and look at the Cipher Strength. It should be 128 bit. If the Cipher Strength is anything less then 128-bit, download and install the Internet Explorer...

I haven't encountered any problem like this ... if I delete history I select today and delete it. Can you explain your problem ?

Go to internet options --> general --> settings ... confirm that "Automatically" radio box is selected.

Open internet explorer .. go to tools --> internet options --> content --> autocomplete ... and make sure that forms is checked ..

Yeah I misunderstood your question. I thought you were talking about tirefox rather than IE. Sorry.

The page opens okay on my side too. Clear your internet cache from temporary internet files folder ... clear the autocomplete entries and then try again if you can access the site.

You can just reinstall firefox without uninstalling it. It'll fix the problems while your data will remain safe.

This problem is related to web browsers ... so I'm moving it to web browsers section so that appropriate "gurus" can have an eye on that.

Uninstall any toolbars if any ... and run spyware and antivirus.

Click tools in internet explorer --> properties ---> Content --> Autocomplete --> clear forms .. and you're on your way.

Is the pop up blocker turned on ?? if yes .. turn it off and try again.

Have you done a spyware scan recently ?? Do so or post your hijackthis log in our virusus, spyware and nasties forum.

Are you using any proxy servers ?? try connecting without that ...

ask your ISP about the problem ...
