I don't believe it's too big. It fits in the OEM enclosure and fits right in the bay. It's a standard 2.5 Laptop HDD.

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 9300 Not too old. Maybe 3 years max.

ok well the old HDD died and so i went over to the local computer store, bought myself a new hdd and put it in. The bios doesn't recognize it and gives me the error of no HDD being found. Thinking...
