or...
this is for a network computer it may be different pathing for a home user i'm not sure but this is where they are actually located

A day and a half later and a day where 90% of people didn't show up to my work due to a snow day gave me just a little bit of free time...

Here's the solution
Quick launch is just basically...

an easier way to do this is to rename the target

so instead of
C:\Program Files\Messenger\

rename the folder to

C:\Program Files\MessengerDisabled\

then if you ever want to enable...

I'll repost from the beginning and try to be clear. I know how to turn off and turn on the quicklaunch on taskbar... this is what i'm trying to do...
