There is a limit to the amount of RAM you can have with a 32-bit Windows OS. I forget if the limit is 4 gigs or 8 gigs.

It's possible that it only contains drivers specifically for the components in HP machines. However, I'm really not sure either way.

AFAIK, Windows will use RAM as much as it can before resorting to the pagefile. Shrinking the pagefile won't force it into using more RAM instead. It's just the way Windows works to always use some...

How much ram do you have in the omputer? More than 4 gigs would be a reason why you have to go with Windows XP x64 edition instead of Windows 2000.

Unfortunately, no. Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 will only work on Tablet PCs (laptops with touchscreens).

Update: I ran the installer in XP Compatibility Mode, and it seems to be working just fine. The application, itself, runs natively.

I have always used PartitionMagic and DriveImage and when PowerQuest was bought out by Symantec, I started using PartitionMagic and Norton Ghost

but this new machine of mine runs Win XP x64...
