did you close the cd when you burnt it ,been awhile since i used 98 ,seem to remember having trouble with 98 not reading disk that weren't closed,but that could have been win95 lol

did you install network card drives when installing win98 ,did it ever connect to the net with win98

does it error on you when using dx9 or are you just saying that because it says you need it on the nfs disk, uninstall is not an easy thing as you can see and read ....

for malwarebytes ,go into its install folder in program files folder[C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware] and change the MBAM.exe file to something different like Byteme.exe ,and click on it...

its not likely that win98 will have support drivers for such a new motherboard ,but i could be wrong.

also .its recommended that you install oldest version first ,as not to replace newer file with older versions ., so its proper to install win98 then winxp in that order .

might be easier to take out the hard drive and slave it into another computer and get the files that way
