if you are commenting on sites, that's not going to get you "organic" backlinks. you want people to start linking to you naturally without you having to ask...

In short, commenting will not help you. It may drive a few hits here and there to your site, but search engines will not consider those links as authoritative links.

A personal recommendation would be to use www.10e20.com -- they are close friends of mine that I respect. I know they do quality work. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny.
