By the looks of it, the Key you entered is wrong.

Its possible that 'House' is a different network somewhere else, or that your stepdad changed the key.

Assuming you're using XP:
Open Network Connections --> Right click on your connection (e.g. Lan or Wireless, whichever is connected) --> Status --> Support.

I agree with the dd-wrt, but I have had a lot of problems with Netgear in the past.

One Netgear Router I had would reboot every time i changed ANY setting!

The standard ip for things like that is 192.168.0.1, try typing that ip into your browser and see what happens

Hi, do you have the broadband plugged into the router, or into your computer?
If its in your computer then you have to make sure you are sharing the internet connection, but you should not do this....
