Your monitor should not be effected by your power supply in the least bit...


The only thing I can think is that A) your video card doesn't have enough power to work, or B) you shorted something...

What kinda of video card do you have, all the CPU power and ram in the world is not going to help without a good video card.

I must be weird, but I have problems with high refresh rates :)

But I cannot advise setting the refresh rate higher than what the manufature told you to have it set at.

If your firewire device cannot be started chances are you have the wrong drivers for it, you should try your pc makers website.

You should be able to use it, most 8x cards are capable of 4x. However you will not get the full preformance out of the video card.

Its going to be one of the last generations of AGP cards as PCI Express takes over... it is a good card none the less :)

For a good reason cat, Doom3 was developed ON the Geforce line, and the Gefoce serries has better support with opengl2, the Ati X800 will preform fine on Doom3.

you could try disabling that, but you should probally get a new video card if its more than 2 years old

if its a LCD dont even try, just take it in to get looked at, plus way wrong area for this ;d

well that was my point, for a 17' LCD i can buy a 22in CRT from Viewsonic thats insanely badass :DF

if your not going to be using it to play games , go with a 17in CTR save you tons of cash

i will give LCD's credit where its deserved >.> however they are not all that great at this current point in time unless your using one made for a mac

eh, dont bother, laptop monitors are ok at best, most dont beat a CRT
