For components that will do the job, I would say about:

£5-10 - sound card,

64XP makes my AMD Athalon 64 3500+ run loads faster than on 32XP. shame its 555Mb, it took ages to download even on a 1.1Mb internet connection!

Try it out if you havnt yet. i recomend it.
