I tried overclocking my system but it hangs even for a 10 mhz increment increase. my config is below...

done all that... and when i do system restore the system just starts up and continues in that booting mode... then i have to reset and sel last good known config... no hardware irq probs whatsoever...

ya u cannot do that... itll just name it 2 or ask u to give a different file name... just hold shift and hit delete more than simple... just mechanical...

Boot to CD (settings to be changed in DOS to boot from CD) (sometiems AMI BIOS has the option to hit F8 and itll ask u where u want to boot from.)

run win xp boot cd and access recovery console......

try shorting it manually to sort.. depdning on ur mobo there will be instructions on shorting the motherboard to start.... see if the fan spins...

iof u have onboard graphics it shares the memory with 512 so if its showing just 384 then thats 512 physical minus 384 = 128 MB graphics being shared by intel or whatever onboard graphics.... :)

whoa sorry for the double post but 8-10 degrees? does even liquid nitrogen bring it down that much... ? u sure dude ? neva heard of it in history and the temp range for AMD 64 can go upto 75 degrees...

see if the fan screws are tightened.. for all u know theres something loose thats rattling coz of the vibration. id juggest just getting a new coolermaster heatsink costing abt 2000 for good gaming...
