most likely overheating with a laptop, keep the fan clear. If it's on warrenty phone them up and get them to check it out.

have you tried disabling the firewall (temporarily) and see if you can access then? If not, leave your modem for longer turned off (5 minutes normally works for me).

You will if that's all you've got. As someone said, antivrus (AVG is free, or Avast), and firewall (well i guess you have windows turned on at least) will be needed. ad-aware only scans and firefox...
