I'm assuming you're talking about LCD, not Plasma. Plasma screens are large-format TV's (42" + ) where LCD is monitors and TVs from 1"-42+". Flat-panel monitors (as far as I know) are all LCD.

Could be a lot of things, probably something weird with the power system that it's not shutting off cleanly.

Does it do this when your system goes to sleep, or only if you hit the power button?

I've had something kind of like this happen to me before. When it doesn't shutdown/restart all the way. Try shutting down, letting it completely power down, and turning it back on.

ITDUPUIS is right, Nvidias site is the best place to get current drivers but it shouldn't matter.

I doubt you'd meet the minimum requirements for most games since that card is half a dozen...
