Too many people focus on PageRank - what you should really be focusing on is sales and conversions.

I've seen for myself traffic go down when PR went up, and traffic go up when PR went down.

In short, if you are using different anchor text in the link, then it is actually a good idea, if you are targeting that anchor text as part of your keywords.

The problem is that you are playing Russian Roulette with the duplicate content filters - best to use a 301 redirect on 2 of the domain names, or simply park them on the other domain.

Meta-tags are not of great concern nowadays for SEO purposes. HOWEVER, on saying that, there is still some real value to their use for Inktomi-based systems, such as MSN and Yahoo.
