I do encourage advertising on second tier search engines like Yahoo, Bing, and even Ask.com. I noticed on some sites that Ask.com and Aol bring more traffic than Yahoo.

I have been using Webtrends to look for PPC success metrics and it sure could be a pain. Different parts of webtrends generate different results for the same period. Have anyone else experienced this?

Have you tried offline/traditional advertising tactics? Try going to a few events where potential advertisers are in attendance and plug your business. You never know.

Just to be on the safe side, I recommend you to create an email account solely for your paid survey questions

I recommend you to refer to Google's policy about ads. Since you are using Google Group and their space, you may not be able to benefit from profit sharing but do check their TOS.

Also, many online survey companies only offer some free software or service instead of pay.
