I do websites that conform to w3c too, unfortunately.. I am yet unsure how these two do well in the engines, wether a nicely one ranked well compared to that of the table type made site.

it does matter but just in a small manner, for me, html validation is just to make the visitor feel that you given enough effort for them to make your site easier to view for them. :)

it might be possible that your new pages are not linking back to the homepages, and your homepage is linking to all your pages but the target pages do not? not sure though...

What do you think is the best amount of linkbacks you get per specific time period? probably 20 per day? 30? or a hundred?

Maybe there's an alternate datacenter for yahoo during saturdays and sundays that would be my only idea though, i think i have heard of these problem somewhere but I did not give that much importance...
