IE 6 start page getting changed to about:blank

I am using IE6 (6.0.2800.1006 SP1) on my PC running Windows 98SE. This configuration has been running fine for a number of weeks; however in the last few days I have noticed that the browser is operating sluggishly, and that the IE start page is getting changed to the following:

"http://%6f%75%74%2e%74%72%75%65%2d%63%6f%75%6e%74%65%72%2e%63%6f%6d/%61/?%31%30%31 about:blank "

I usually see this when I open IE6 for the first time in a Windows session.

spyware brower hijacker is the cause of you problem ,try running ad-aware free download to remove it or look in add/remove programs for it .
