The Drives in 'My Computer' will not Open

Please I need assistance. After I cleansed my computer with AVG antivirus software and deleted the infected files,I keep on receiving 'Program not found' message if I want to open the drives from 'My Computer' folder. Detail of the message is 'Windows cannot find RavMon.exe. This program is needed for opening files of type 'File'. Type in the executable file to be used instead'. Please can any one tell me what I can do to get out of this problem?

unzip the fixes for:
directory
drive
folder
shortcut/lnk
when they have been unzipped right click on each of the .reg files and choose MERGE. Reboot aftwerwards
This will restore the default programs for opening the drives in my computer

When I've needed to do this, I've done it manually. Command line may not be pretty, but it works.

Thanks for the below fix. My wife's "My Computer " got corrupted when she removed my PNY Attache' drive without ejecting it first. "My Computer" would just hang with the animated "searching icon". I applied the fix you suggested to the first poster and got rid of the problem!
