Hi, first poster so bear with me, i'm not toooo good with technical things lol

But anyway, nearly every time i start up my laptop now, it says i haven't shut it down properly, it comes up with the Last known good configuration/safe mode/start windows normally screen, even though i have shut it down properly.

Sometimes it takes up to 10 attempts to get into windows, but i've ran virus software and it says i don't have a virus, so i don't know whats wrong with it.

It just keeps going in a loop until it decides to work. If anyone could help, i'd really appreciate it, cause my last laptop broke because of an infinite loop and i don't want it to happen to this one too lol

when it starts to restart dose it give you a error message or dose it just start over. Do you have your Windows XP disk?.
