After the rundll error message (c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\dlcctime.dll) began, I could not print on my Dell924. I uninstalled my printer. When I reinstalled, only the scan, fax, copy appear to be installed. The actual "printer" will not install. I "can" scan and copy (don't use fax feature). I have Norton Internet Security and SystemWorks. I have XoftSpySE, RegCure, AdAware SE Plus. and HiJack This. I have ran them all, more than once, to no avail. I have a recent Hijack This log. Hi Mortal Terror,
I did as HiJack This recommended; Consult a Pro. It looks like the program restored the original value of that file, I no longer get error message and I reran HiJack This, the file is there. I still can't get my printer installed, but I have a low ink warning, which is probably considered as an "error". Trouble shooter says this is a probable cause of failure to install. I still get the scan/fax installed, just not the actual printer. I oredered ink. Will try to install again when I get the ink. I'm going to close this thread, so that no one is wasting their time. If I need to later, I'll start a new thread. Thanks for the help, though I'm not a Pro, I usually chase this stuff down and fix it myself, one way or another. Most appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
