I would appreciate any critiques of my website, www.bolender.com

It is a blended professional/personal site. One feature that I am currently developing is a family archive of historical photos and documents.

Feel free to comment on appearance and navigational elements.

Thank you for your time.

Your site navigates well as far as I went though some pages needed a password. I would make the homepage more interesting ...some images or something. I would also make the header font smaller..maybe design a banner heading. The homepage should want viewers to look at the linked pages. Hope this is helpful.

I think it is so good to have family photos on the web...that way friends, family and others who may live some distance away, can see the family history. Several people, with whom I had lost touch, found me through my website.

Thank you for your comments. I have struggled with how detailed to make the homepage. Often, homepages are cluttered. I admit that mine is very "sterile." I will need to think about how to enhance the appeal.

Thank you,

Ron :-)

Yeah, umm.. The main page .. who are the names ?
The homepage needs a little info, firstly a simple welcome and explain what on earth the site is, or is about. Mention its purpose perhaps.
And of course the names. What or who are they ?
You may have a great number of hits to the main page but are they likely to browse byond it, not knowing what lies ahead ? will it be a waste of time ?
Many browsers wont bother as they could faster find what they need elsewhere.
Of course this is not the case with family, friends and coleagues.

I agree, no introduction of what its about, just sketchy lines, and text, starts to hurt my eyes. I clicked off after clicking the second page. It had no appeal to me at all.
