Question **Need help with various problems**

Scenario:
during your weekly network maintenance run for one your customers you notice that one of your manages switches is not responding to ping commands. You take a look at the switch and find that the main uplink port is not functioning.
Causes of the problem:
Symptoms of the problem:
Solution to the problem:

Scenario:
a user calls to tell you that when they try access a folder on the server that they could previously access, they get a message "the link your trying to access is unavailable or missing, try checking your spelling and try again

Scenario:
One of your customers is using a wireless network with WPA security, When the customer looks in the notification area they notice that the network connection has a red X through it. they are not able to connect to their network.

One of your customers has a switch in their office. Your customer has called to inform you that they cant do anything - such as access network resources. The customer has informed you that there are no lights on the switch.

One of your customers is trying to connect their new laptop to their offices local area network. they cannot access any shared resources on the LAN. When you look in their device manager there is no NIC installed.

One of your customers is connected to a wireless network. the connection keeps dropping off and they keep losing their connection. their access point has been installed beside the kitchen and on the opposite side of the building from their office. It has been working well until yesterday

You are a help desk technician. A user calls to inform you that they cannot print to a network printer. they were able to yesterday. the printer in question is connected to the network with a standalone print server and uses DHCP to get its IP information from a reservation.

You are the systems administrator for a small business. a user complains that they cannot connect to any netwokr resources. however all other users in the office can access network resources. they require this problem to be fixed as soon as possible

Cause of the problem: Users who can't spell.

Just so you know i beleive this is rediculous, but seeing that i have no life and nothing to do, i answered all the scenarios........WOW i really need a life

Solution to the problem: change the WIC ( if its on one)

Causes of the problem: out of range of the wireless, disable wireless card, Symptoms of the problem: limited connectivity, or NON, Solution to the problem: check wireless point, udate drivers for wireless card, reconfigure setting

One of your customers has a switch in their office. Your customer has called to inform you that they cant do anything - such as access network resources. The customer has informed you that there are no lights on the switch.
Causes of the problem: Lost of power, burnt out power supply,
Symptoms of the problem:Surg protector turned off, check power point, (wall outlet)
Solution to the problem:replace surge, check switch to ensure not fried by lighting

Scenario:
One of your customers is trying to connect their new laptop to their offices local area network. they cannot access any shared resources on the LAN. When you look in their device manager there is no NIC installed.
Causes of the problem: NO NIC installed
Symptoms of the problem: stupidity, lack of knowledge
Solution to the problem:install NIC configure to network setting

Scenario:
One of your customers is connected to a wireless network. the connection keeps dropping off and they keep losing their connection. their access point has been installed beside the kitchen and on the opposite side of the building from their office. It has been working well until yesterday
Causes of the problem: interference from the Microwave, too far from access point, weak signal through walls
Symptoms of the problem:limited or now network connectivity, workers taking time to get a smoke ( network down)
Solution to the problem:relocate assess point, add extra access point.

Scenario:

Not to mention that he posted his email address, requesting people email him privately, violating the "Keep it On-Site" rule. And you might be interested in this section of the "Keep it Organized" rule:
Do not post homework problems expecting a quick answer without showing any effort yourself.

He deserved every bit of negative response he's received in this thread so far.
