I have window 2000 server. All the clients are connected through this domain server. I want to create messaging service between clients so that they can communicate with each other through system, and can also send/receive files through this service. How should i activate this service on clients? Do i need to configure remote/routing on the domain. Plz guide me accordingly.

my choice would be to use a Jabber server and appropriate clients

Hallo dear,
At the server end you can start massaging service also at client side.If this service is not started then u r not able to run massaging.
