My Internet explorer runs real slow when I try uploading sites with graphics. Most of the time, the pictures don't show up or they take about 5 mins plus to load up. I currently have a DSL connection thru Verizon on a Dimension 4600 Dell which is about 3 months old. My OS is Microsoft XP SPK 2. I ran Ad-aware and Hi Jack this but Im not sure if spyware isthe problem. Also, my Physical Memory is ridiculiously low with my Total being 260080 and Avaiiable at 83308. Also, Netscape runs slow but better than my Internet Explorer. I found this post while looking for an answer to a similar problem. Since when I have found a solution that might work for you.

I found a jpeg file on my hard drive, right click and checked "properties" to see that "opens with" designate Microsoft fax for some strange reason. I changed this to paintshop pro and the pages open fine.
